Am heutigen Freitag beginnt eine Befahrung der
Lippe, wie es sie noch nicht gab: Die „Victoria“,
ein originalgetreu nachgebautes Römerschiff von
16 Metern Länge, startet in Hamm-Uentrop, um am zehnten Tag Wesel zu erreichen.

At the weekend the Roman ship “Victoria” sailed the Spree in Berlin, to publicise “IMPERIUM CONFLICT MYTH. 2000 Years Varus Battle” the year’s biggest exhibition, in Germany in 2009.

The Roman ship “Victoria” has left her winter quarters in Hamburg-Harburg once again for the filming of a programme in the ZDF series ''Schliemanns Erben''.

“Victoria” is making a stop at Minden: the Roman ship, part of the exhibition project “IMPERIUM CONFLICT MYTH. 2000 Years Varus Battle” will be anchored in the Weser at the Tränke gateway to the town from 26th to 28th September.

model finds from the 1st and 2nd centuries AD.

Battle” will be moored at the Neuer Hafen Vynen
in the Freizeitpark Xanten (Alt-Vynenscher-Weg 5) from 8th-10th August. On Saturday and Sunday
the command will be heard “Cast off and put your backs into it".
